Venues, Markets and Pairs

List venues, the markets each one supplies and every pair an asset trades in, with its price, volume and liquidity.

1. List the Venues

GET /v1/venues returns every published venue with its market model and its current statistics: USD volume and liquidity, trades and active markets over 24 hours.

curl -s "https://api.cantoncap.cc/v1/venues" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $CANTONCAP_API_KEY"
JSON
{
  "venue_id": "temple",
  "name": "Temple",
  "market_model": "order_book",
  "last_updated_at": "2026-10-11T13:59:58.000Z",
  "stats": {
    "network": "mainnet",
    "volume_24h_usd": "1320455.18",
    "liquidity_usd": "359320.85",
    "trade_count_24h": 1284,
    "active_markets": 12,
    "last_updated_at": "2026-10-11T13:55:00.000Z"
  }
}

The profile and the statistics have separate timestamps. When the newest statistics row lacks a value, the latest usable one is kept and stats.last_updated_at becomes the oldest of their times, so an old time is the signal. For descriptions, links and the fee documentation, read GET /v1/venues/{venue_id}; for what a venue publishes, its capabilities.

2. List a Venue's Markets

GET /v1/venues/{venue_id}/markets pages through every market a venue supplies, 100 at most per page, with filters for model, category and quote_asset_id. Each row names both assets and carries the market's ticker and liquidity.

curl -s "https://api.cantoncap.cc/v1/venues/temple/markets?limit=100" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $CANTONCAP_API_KEY"

To browse markets across venues, use GET /v1/markets with venue_id, asset_id, model or category filters.

3. Every Pair an Asset Trades In

GET /v1/assets/market-pairs/latest answers the question an asset page asks: where does it trade, at what price, with how much volume and liquidity?

curl -s "https://api.cantoncap.cc/v1/assets/market-pairs/latest?ids=ast_515c3eaa72bd4a8b9403297879d78ef6&limit=100" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $CANTONCAP_API_KEY"
  • Rows come in stable market-ID order; the endpoint does not sort by volume, so sort on your side, by the USD fields.
  • ticker.price is in quote-asset units, and price_origin says where it came from (the pool, the book, a trade, an external reference or a derivation).
  • liquidity depends on the model: AMM markets report liquidity_usd (pool value); order books report bid_depth_2pct_usd, ask_depth_2pct_usd and spread_bps.
  • The asset can be the base or the quote of a pair. Check base_asset.asset_id before reading a price as the asset's own.
Bounded Response
A request whose assets relate to more pools than one response can carry answers 422 unsupported_capability. Ask for fewer IDs at a time.

4. Go Deeper into One Market

  • GET /v1/markets/{market_id}: metadata, the latest ticker and liquidity, and the sourced fee schedule in fees.
  • GET /v1/markets/{market_id}/orderbook?depth=20: the latest public book, for order-book markets. available_quantity_excludes_own_orders says whether the source leaves out its own resting orders.
  • GET /v1/markets/{market_id}/liquidity: spread and depth on a book, reserves and modelled depth on a pool.
  • GET /v1/markets/{market_id}/trades: public trades over a time range, cursor-paginated.
  • GET /v1/pools and GET /v1/pools/{pool_id}: AMM pools, their asset pair and latest state.

Batch activity for up to 100 markets in one request with GET /v1/activity/markets/latest.
